Do you ever have the best of intentions to feed your kids healthy and then end up grabbing whatever will just get you through breakfast?
Maybe you are one of those awesome moms, like Food Babe, that has fed their kids fresh and organic from the first day of life. I actually was that at one point…“was”!
I nursed each of 3 babies for a year, made my own baby food and did all the things.
Then, slowly, unrecognizably, things got so busy, the kids got picky, I got tired…exhausted, kids found sugar, and things slipped!
Do any other moms have kids that don’t want to eat at all? And so you just cave and give them sugar cereal instead of the organic eggs you had planned, just to get them to eat something? I’m guilty of this. I admit it. Sometimes, I just need to get breakfast done and on with it! So Fruit Loops it is.
And I know…just don’t buy it right?…have you ever been shopping with 3 boys aged 5, 8 and 12?…..I cave sometimes. I buy Fruit Loops. and whatever else will get me out of the store the quickest. I justify it by saying “Oh this is for vacation” or “Just this once”, but either way….my spectacularly healthy breakfast plans quickly degenerate.
So Sizzle Kidz was born….this blog is for those of us who really are trying our best to teach our precious sweeties healthy eating and healthy living and who just need some support and tactical plans! Let’s tackle this stuff together!
Stay tuned, we are releasing our first Skills-Based Food and Cooking Workbook soon. It will start at the very beginning and teach kids about food and cooking, step-by-step, from a super simple and fun point of view. Subscribe and we will send you updates as we get the first Workbook ready.
